Sugar Project. In 2007 Du Roi embarked on an initiative to commercially produce sugarcane tissue culture plants for the local and international market. The NovaCane® production protocol developed by the South African Sugar Research Institute (SASRI) has been successfully implemented and production of the following varieties has begun at the Du Roi Laboratory facilities:
N19, N23, N25, N32, N36, N40, N41, N46, N49.
